General information

Founded in 2003, 7L Networks Inc. is an organically grown Canadian data centre and hosting provider.

Our early days were spent harnessing the spirit and ideology of open source technology. Understanding the infinite possibilities these communities contribute to the greater good of the world, this empowered us to donate infrastructure to a number of Linux projects (http://www.gentoo.org, http://centos.org, to name a few).

As time passed, the partnerships we had built through our open source community efforts afforded us a strong reputation in the discipline of data hosting. We began to support more operating systems, as well as provide improved services to our customers.

Leveraging the ownership of our commercial real estate asset that houses our data centre, we were able to offer a localized service in Toronto, by providing in-house data centre services to our commercial office space tenants. This separated us apart from any other data centre in Toronto, and helped our tenants and customers realize great operational savings and improved efficiency.

We believe ourselves to be in the business of relationships. Technology alone can only get us so far, which is why it is our mission to provide an unprecedented data hosting experience with each and every customer we have the privilege of working with.

Bonding commercial real estate with our digital real estate infrastructure is how we continually live our open source roots, by providing a home both physically and virtually for startups and established businesses alike.

Our goal is to not only continue to improve ourselves as a business, but more importantly, do our part in raising the standard of the data hosting industry overall.

In June of 2013 we celebrated 10 years of business. All we can say is that we continue to love what we do, and look forward to what the future has in store for us.
