Inuit Art Zone is a unique contemporary gallery bringing you a wide variety of Inuit soapstone carvings carved by the most famous Inuit artists. Our selection includes older works by master Inuit art carvers and great contemporary subjects by younger up and coming Inuit artists. We currently offer many dancing bears , bears , walrus , whales , seals , musk-ox, beluga whales, antique Inuit art and other arctic animals and subjects like Inuit hunters, mother and child, shaman and transformations. Most pieces are carved out of the great serpentine soapstone found on the southern part of Baffin Island. We also have many pieces from other regions of the canadian arctic like Gjoa Haven, Arviat, Clyde River Baker Lake, Holman and other famous arctic communities. Each region having their own local soapstone, marble, Basalt or Caribou Antler and whalebones giving them their own style of carvings.
