General information

Hello.

Civilized is a reflection of the folks we see enjoying cannabis but not represented in current cannabis culture.

They are the millions of motivated, productive adults who choose to enjoy cannabis recreationally - whether with friends instead of drinking alcohol, to unwind after a stressful day at work or just to think more creatively. They enjoy it and choose to use it. Some of them hide it. Some of them don't. Frankly, we don't see much of a downside when cannabis is regulated and enjoyed responsibly.

They are executives, entrepreneurs, tradespeople, teachers, students, politicians and artists. They are couples and they are singles. They come from all walks of life. Many are raising kids. They are bright, creative, hardworking people. They are in towns, cities and villages everywhere.

At Civilized we might be lighthearted and funny but we believe the underlying conversation on this important subject can and should be smart. Because we know cannabis can be smart. And healthy. And positive for our communities.

This is our tribe. We are Civilized.

POSTING POLICIES:

The Civilized Facebook page is about creating a fun, inclusive, informative and engaging community for our Civilized audience. We invite you to elevate the conversation about cannabis culture: share your opinions, ideas and stories. In order to build this community together, we ask that you review and abide by the following guidelines. If you have any questions, please let us know.

1. Be respectful: We acknowledge all community members have strong opinions and a desire to share them, and as a part of our community, we want to hear your opinions. But please be respectful of the opinions of others, even if they differ from yours.

2. No name calling: It should be possible to share your views, understand someone else's views, and disagree with someone else's views, without the need for personal insults or inflammatory remarks.

3. No trolling: We encourage healthy debates and discussions — even heated ones. However, antagonizing other community members or spreading offensive ideas is not permitted.

4. No copyrighted material: Unless you own the copyright, or have express written permission from the owner, don’t post copyrighted material. It will be removed.

5. No spam: Spamming is not a civilized way to engage with our community. We reserve the right to remove any spam posts or images. If you’d like to be featured as a partner, please contact us first.

6. Do share: We want to see and hear from you – please post your pictures or personal videos to show us how you’re living your Civilized life. But please keep them clean (safe for work): people must be fully clothed, nobody can be doing anything illegal and you must be able to prove the video is yours.

7. Only post your Facebook screen name. Do not post your email address, your BBM pin, your Skype, your IM, your mobile or anything other than your Facebook screen name. And do not post anyone else’s Facebook screen name.

8. Violations: We all make mistakes. A single violation of our community posting policies won’t necessarily get you banned, but repeated infractions certainly will.

9. Feedback: You’re a part of our community and we want to engage with you. If you have thoughts or suggestions about what we’re doing, please let us know.

10. For all giveaways, contests, etc., Civilized acknowledges that our promotions are in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook.

11. If you take any steps to participate in one of our giveaways, you completely release Facebook of liability.
