The Moncton Public Library provides access to a provincial collection of more than 1.8 million items, to reference materials, to a microfilm collection and to a Heritage Collection which focuses on materials relating to the counties of Albert, Westmorland, and Kent.

The library offers free Wi-Fi access, public computers and printers, adaptive technologies for people with print disabilities, electronic resources, photocopiers, study rooms, meeting rooms available to rent for a reasonable fee, reference service to assist you in your search for information, readers' advisory service to help you find what to read next, tutorials teaching basic computer and Internet skills, exam proctoring, and a wide variety of free programs for adults, teens and children, all year long.
The Moncton Public Library first opened in 1913.
