種籽出版社一直致力於發展基督教文字事工，透過出版優質屬靈書籍，及經營門市書室，鼓勵弟兄姊妹閱讀，幫助他們靈命成長，更加明白聖經，並廣傳福音。
本社開始於一九六八年，由三位尖沙嘴浸信會弟兄——羅志強、梁偉賢及王正偉，憑著對基督教文字工作有異象及抱負成立，藉文字工作來服侍教會，服侍主內華人肢體，並於一九八六年在溫哥華註冊，成立國際種籽出版社，將服務擴展至海外華人信徒。
