General information
McIvor Automotive was founded in 1984 by Reginald McIvor when he decided to open up a small shop of his own after many years of working in the industry. As the years went by his youngest son, Michael, couldn't seem to keep his head out from under the hood either and pretty soon Reg had an apprentice, and eventual partner in the business.
As the business grew, so did the demand for a bigger space so in 2000 they broke ground and built a larger shop on Creekford Road, north of Westbrook. After 50 years of passionately working on cars, Reg retired in 2005 but the multi-generation story didn't end there.
In 2015, Tyler, Michael's son decided to join the family business. Tyler is currently an Automotive Mechanic Apprentice who is dedicated to learning.
This past year, Michaels daughter, Shelby, joined the family business as a Service Advisor.
