Better Beginnings Better Futures is a prevention program for high-risk communities. The Sudbury Better Beginnings Better Futures' holistic model provides child-centered activities and community development in the Flour Mill / Donovan neighbourhood. The overarching goals and objectives of Better Beginnings Better Futures sites are:

Prevention: To reduce the incidence of serious long-term emotional and behavioural problems in children.

Promotion: To promote the optimal social, emotional, behavioural, physical and educational development in children.

Community Development: To strengthen the ability of communities to respond effectively to the social and economic needs of children and their families.

To Promote and strengthen personal growth focused on the child and the individual uniqueness of all members within the community of Better Beginnings Better Futures. To promote and encourage active participation in all aspects in the shaping of programs and support systems, while integrating respect, and teamwork of everyone in achieving a safe, healthy and wholesome environment for all.
