The Environmental Law Centre (ELC) is Alberta’s oldest and most active public interest environmental law organization with a mission is to educate and champion for strong environmental laws and rights so that all Albertans can enjoy clean water, clean air and a healthy environment.
As Alberta’s leading environmental public policy and law reform organization, the ELC has been working very closely with various stakeholders including the provincial government, municipalities, private industry, local communities and environmental non-governmental organizations for over 30 years, reaching thousands of people monthly through various media channels, and providing them credible, balanced and informed policy and law reform analysis and legal information on a broad spectrum of significant and relevant environmental issues in Alberta and Canada.
