Award winning photographer Grant Siméon, came to the Eastern Townships in the late 70’s to pursue his education at Champlain Regional College and than at Bishop’s University where he graduated in the field of Drama with Honors.
Fresh out of University Grant found summer employment at The English Daily newspaper The Record, as a fill in photographer Grant quickly demonstrated to his Editorial staff his abilities as a news photographer. Grant was offered a full time position with the paper before leaving in December of '86 to move to Montreal to study Commercial photography at the Dawson Institute of Photography.

In 1988 Grant was asked to return to the Townships to head the photography department at the Record, Grant returned and worked with the paper until 1995 at which time he left and opened his studio in then the town of Lennoxville.

During his period at the paper Grant was honored to win several photography awards for his work in the fields of, sports, news, and feature photography.

Grant has always been considered to be one of the premiere photographers in the Sherbrooke area, with several solo exhibitions, at the University of Sherbrookes' main Hall and the Orford Arts Center and several other notable galleries, Grant has demonstrated his talents both in the Commercial and private sectors.

Sought out by many of Quebecs notable persons to have their portraits taken, Grant has been compared to the Late Great Yousuf Karsh. A true honor.

Regarded as a perfectionist, Grant refuses to allow compromise to his work, with the belief that “a picture is given, not taken” Grant challenges himself and his subjects at every session.

A reputation for commercial photography. Grants studio has developed the reputation of being the best, Advertising,product,industrial photography have been added to Grant's already established portrait portfolio.
