Alleyne's is a family business inspired by the principal’s strong desire to be a great man and help other men do the same. Brenton Alleyne grew up watching his mother Brenda styling and refining her clients, and most importantly his father Joseph. She inspired a tall lanky young to become a more muscular and refined man, and even helped him refine his hair to a more silky texture. As Brenton watched, a groomer was born.

Brenton comes from a line of groomers, which includes his grandfather, Pollalrd Alleyne, after whom Brenton was named, and his mother Brenda, a polished and professional hairstylist and aesthetician. Barbering was Brenton’s first love; he began honing his skills as a boy. He started to barber at the age of 13, opened his first barbering and retail store at 23, and started a strategic marketing firm at the age of 25. It was clear he had an entrepreneurial proclivity. And along the journey he discovered a passion for grooming men from the inside out. Grooming marries his life experiences and talents into one powerful vocation.

After starting Alleyne’s, Brenton joined forces with his sister Belinda Hoppler to provide aesthetic services. Belinda has been in the aesthetics industry for 14 years and is as excited today about serving people as she was when she started. She is helping men to remember that although in recent times pampering has been viewed as feminine; it is a practice that began with kings. Grooming is the mark of every refined man and proper aesthetic treatment is to be relished as a relaxing and kingly experience.

The Alleyne's environment is an unmistakably classic gentlemen's environment. It has been designed for the modern gentleman, inspired by the late John Henry Cardinal Newman's efforts in London England during the early 1800's to establish the presence of gentlemen in society. We are located in a quaint historic building in the Historical Pickering Village. The setting is quite poignant, as Alleyne's is a beautiful blend of the best of the old and the new. With the comfortable barber chairs that recline for the grand experience of a hot lather shave, jazz playing in the background a relaxing lounge and male inspired aesthetic area for pampering treatments like facials, pedicures, and massages. More transformations take place on our upper level where image consultations take place and where we help men things like putting wardrobes and accessories together and prepare to embrace milestone transitions.

We will equip men with the finest grooming resources to help them develop their image and reveal their character. We believe that grooming is an essential art that prepares people to lead in every aspect of life. Alleyne's is focused on preparing men for every age and stage of life.
