- I just wanted to take a minute to clarify what happens when you bring books in to us!.
We offer credit for the ones we can put on the shelves, that being said, we cannot use magazines,encyclopedias,textbooks, library books, books without dust jackets, musty, damaged or smokey books, highlighted/underlined books and ones we have too many copies of (read- Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, DaVinci Code, Guernsey Potato Peel Society,..)
We tally and add the credit to your file for your next visit. If you want to know how much it is before your next visit, please call or email us in a day or two. If you want any books back, please notify us at drop off and we will let you know if there were any that we can't keep. Otherwise we will donate them to to various establishments.
How do we tally credit? Its a bit complicated. Here is the best explanation;
-if we are pricing the book for around $5.00,you will receive $1 in credit If we price the book over $10.00 we can offer $2.00 and so on...In the end it all depends on the sell-ability value of the books.

How to use your credits;
-You will always pay "out of pocket" for 50% of our discounted prices (orange stickers) and you can use your credits to cover up to 50%.
Example - you have $20 in credit and are buying $45 in books; you pay $25.00 cash(CC or Debit) and you can use all of credits! If you are only buying a $5.00 book, you will pay $2.50 and we will take off $2.50 from your credits. Its really not as complicated as it sounds!
