MOD Developments Inc. is a full-service real estate company specializing in innovative urban developments with a focus on architectural excellence, city-building and customer satisfaction. Founded in 2009 by industry veteran Gary Switzer, MOD has emerged as one of Toronto’s most successful development companies, winning the coveted 2011 BILD Project of the Year Award and the Best High-Rise Design of the Year Award for its first project FIVE Condos at 5 St. Joseph, a 48-storey, 526 unit complex in downtown Toronto. Following on the success of FIVE, MOD launched The Massey Tower in early 2012, a 60-storey, 699 unit project on Yonge near Queen, across from the Eaton Centre, which has gone on to become one of the best-selling developments of 2012.

MOD’s senior management team is headed by Gary Switzer. Mr. Switzer graduated from the University of Toronto School of Architecture in 1978 and after working as an architect at WZMH Architects and as a planner at the City of Toronto, went on to establish the high-rise division of Great Gulf Homes, one of Canada’s largest home builders. During the next two decades, Mr. Switzer developed some of the most successful and award-winning projects in Toronto, including The Saint James, The Morgan, The Hudson, 18 Yorkville, X and Charlie. Awards include the OAA Award of Architectural Excellence for The Morgan in 2005, the City of Toronto Urban Design Awards for Best Tall Building and Best Mid-Rise Building for 18 Yorkville in 2007, and the Tarion High-Rise Building Award the same year.

Mr Switzer is joined at the helm by Noorez Lalani. Mr. Lalani received a law degree from the University of Windsor, and was called to the Ontario bar in 2006. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business, where he specialized in Real Estate Finance and Development. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lalani received a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario. He previously worked in the corporate finance group and commercial real estate group of a prominent Canadian law firm and prior to joining MOD, worked as an account manager for the Toronto Dominion Bank Real Estate Group where he was responsible for underwriting and managing various residential construction loans in the home building and condominium sectors.
